Civil servants and contractors of Parques Nacionales Naturales de Colombia are allowed external loans.
The external loan has to be done personally with a valid identification card. Internal users can also borrow via email or by telephone.
The person who borrows the material is responsible for it until the date of return.
The following requirements must be met in order to borrow materials: a valid ID, the user cannot have any pending fines, overdue loans or any disciplinary processes.
Users from other institutions must present an interlibrary loan request form filled out by the institution that supports the loan.
The loan periods are as follows:
An internal user can loan up to 4 pieces (books, videos or maps) for up to 8 calendar days. The loan can be renewed upon presentation of the materials as long as they are not reserved by other users.
An external user can borrow 3 pieces (books, videos or maps) for up to 3 days as long as there is an interlibrary loan agreement with his/her institution; if there is no such agreement the material will only be loaned for reading room consultation.
