The Documentation Center of Parques Nacionales Naturales stores, analyzes, processes and disseminates documents and information on protected areas and environmental topics of Colombia.
The Documentation Center has the most complete and unique collection on the 59 protected areas in Colombia. The following topics and documents are also available: management plans, flora and fauna studies, environmental impact, carrying capacity, ecotourism, touristic infrastructure, community work, colonization, environmental legislation, buffer zones and field studies, among others.
The bibliographic collection has been assembled from research done by the civil servants’ and contractors’ of Parques Nacionales Naturales de Colombia as well as consultancy documents and dissertations contributed by different universities.
Similarly, there are exchange agreements with national and international institutions that develop environmental and protected area projects.
There is also a video collection showing the natural beauty of our landscape.

Who has access to the Documentation Center?
The Documentation Center is open to all who want to access the information on Parques Nacionales Naturales especially elementary, high school, technological institute and university students, students writing theses or dissertations, researchers, public and private institutions as well as the civil servants and contractors of Parques Nacionales Naturales.
