The hydrographic network of the Park makes part of the Orinoco river basin, which includes Guaviare, Vichada, Tuparro, Meta and Arauca Rivers as main tributaries on the Colombian side. It has numerous rivers and streams that flow east to west towards the Orinoco and which belong to the Tomo River subsystem. This dynamic has generate numerous curves that get abandoned by the course of the rivers and which become lagoons.
