By air: You can fly to the city of Pasto, in the Nariño department, from the main cities of the country.

By land: You can also travel to Pasto by bus. From Pasto, you must take the road towards Putumayo to the town of El Encano for about 22 km. Then you take the road towards El Puerto or to the Sindamanoy Hotel at the shores of the Laguna de La Cocha where you can take a boat to the Sanctuary. The approximate distance from El Puerto is 1.3 km and from the Sindamanoy Hotel about 0.6 km for about 10 minutes.
