The main tributaries and streams are on the northern side; they originate in the páramo and supply the aqueducts of the Chiquiza and Arcabuco municipalities. The Cane or Iguaque river, which supplies the rural and urban aqueducts of the Villa de Leyva municipality, crosses the center of the Sanctuary.
