The following flora stands out: branched arboreal frailejón (Libanothanenues tamanus), encenillo (Weinmannia spp.), abarco (Cariniana pyriformismiers), chusque or bamboo (Chusqueu tesellata), several species of epiphytes and timber trees such as amarillo (Oreopanax bogotense), cedro (Cedrela montana), totumo (Aegiphila grandis) and moho (Cordia alliodora). The rainy páramos of this slope with their frailejón, cactuses and moss cushions are a strategic conservation area. There are four identified endemic species of frailejón of the Espelettia and Espeletiopsis genera. There are also eight endemic species of lítamo (Draba spp.).
