A 1998 study is found 1,348 species of vascukar plkants distributed in 574 genera and 128 families, from which 18 species are cultivated and culturally importante to the Ticuna people. The main families are Leguminosae, Rubiaceae and Poaceae (Rutaceae family) for Colombia.
