The recommended sights include the Planeta Bosque interpretive trail, Los Chivos waterfall, El Mirador, Los Cacaos stream, Escondido dale, Tigre cave, Piedra del Toro and TinamĂș. The Sanctuary also has special services for visitors including education programs, environmental research and interpretation of the natural and cultural values of the zone and you can also carry out photography and video activities.

Bird Watching

Colombia is the country with the most bird species in the world, which is why it is a touristic destination for amateur and professional bird watchers. The Sanctuary has macaws, guans, blue-billed curassows and toucans and, additionally, it is strategic for migratory birds from the north and south of the continent and a genetic bank for research and knowledge of national biodiversity.

Research and Environmental Education

The exuberant nature of the protected area and its state of conservation make it an ideal place for scientific research. Additionally, as in all the parks with ecotourism, education institutions carry out environmental education activities in the park, as do the park rangers who speak to the visitors about the Park, its conservation objectives and ecotourism services and activities.

Fauna and Flora Observation

It is the perfect place to observe fauna and flora. The Sanctuary has red howler monkey, white-faced monkey, agouti, deer and peccary.

Hiking

The Planeta Bosque Trail is an ideal hike of about 2 to 3 hours in length and medium difficulty, including an introductory talk. It is ideal for bird watching and to observe other species.

Photography and Video

The scenic beauty of Los Colorados FFS make it an ideal place for this activity, although, if the photos or video are intended for commercial use or publication, a permit must be obtained from Parques Nacionales Naturales.
