The are three land routes to reach the Sanctuary:

Route 1: From Tunja to Villa de Leyva (39 km) and from there to the Sanctuary (15 km).
Route 2: From Chiquinquirá to Villa de Leyva (38 km) and from there to the Sanctuary (15 km).
Route 3: From Tunja to Arcabuco (34 km) and from there to the Sanctuary (12 km).

The roads that connect Arcabuco and Villa de Leyva with the Sanctuary are not completely paved. The last part of the entrance to the Sanctuary (3km) starts in the place known as Casa de Piedra and through a country road in poor condition, specially the last 1.5 kilometers.
