In addition to oak (Quercus humboldtii), you can find laurel (Ocotea sp. and Nectandra sp.), frailejón (Espeletiopsis garciae, Espeletiopsis pleiochasia, Espeletia) and encenillo (Weinmannia tomentosa). There are also forests of (Brunellia sp.), raque (Vallea stipularis) and arrayán (Myrcianthes leucoxyla). The protected area still has species that were pursued for their high quality wood such as two species of Colombian pine that are vulnerable (Retrophyllum rospligliosii and Podocarpus oleifolius).
