Guanentá Over 250 bird species fly over this Sanctuary, which is also very rich in spelettias, plants uniquely adapted to high mountain environments. This Sanctuary is the main and largest reserve of oak forest in Colombia. It offers natural shelter to vulnerable animal species, some of which are in danger of extinction, such as the partridge, the deer, the spectacled bear, some primates, the tapir and the ocelot.
